Body Care: Kiss My Face Sun Spray Lotion SPF 30

This time around I would like to talk about body care, specifically very important part of it, sun protection. I have to admit, I am not as diligent with body sun protection as with face sunscreen. But since I've noticed couple of hyper pigmentation spots on my hands I am trying my best to apply it every single day. You really have to get into the habit of applying it before leaving the house. Once you find the one you actually really like using, it stops being a chore. Finally I found the one I enjoy very much: Kiss My Face Sun Spray Lotion SPF 30 broad spectrum, water resistant sunscreen!

Packaging/Pricing/Texture:

236ml (8fl.oz) for ~11-14$ US (here on IHERB). Very affordable product (considering you would probably go through it pretty quick). It also comes in a bigger bottle (~17$ for 414ml). This sunscreen comes in very convenient opaque spray bottle (making it a stable formulation). It is a regular spray, so it doesn't have any ingredients that usually are added to can aerosol products! Dispenser works really well, and allows you to spread sunscreen on larger areas rather quick. You still have to blend it in though, but it literally takes 10 seconds. This is very light liquidy lotion (more like body milk). It absorbs right away, leaving skin moisturised, but not greasy and doesn't leave white cast. I personally like moisturising sunscreens rather than dry touch ones (but I want to stress it is not oily in any means). If you are fan of dry touch ones, this may not be as enjoyable for you. This products does have very light cosmetic scent, but no additional fragrance is added. It is save for kids.

Ingredients:

Active ingredients: Octinoxate 7.5%, Octisalate 5.0%, Zinc Oxide 1.7%.

Other: Water, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) leaf juice, Polysorbate-20, Cetearyl Alcohol, Acrylates Copolymer, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) leaf extract, Carota Sativa (Carrot) extract, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit E), Agaricus Bisporus (Mushroom) betaglucans, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

Excellent (only beneficial ingredients, proven research)
Good (mostly beneficial, not extensive research or just not quite outstanding properties)
OK (mostly thickeners, emulsifiers, mild preservatives, pH adjusters, all that is necessary, but not a skincare per se)
Bad (irritants and anything bad that shouldn't be in skincare, usually fragrance)

Ingredients Discussion:

[I am not as picky ingredients wise when it comes to body care as with my face skin care. Hence I may be more forgiving to body lotion formulation shortcomings.]
This product features a mixture of chemical and physical sunscreen actives, which
would give you protection from both UVB and UVA rays. Formula features sunflower oil and glycerin to make sure your skin is moisturised and it retains moisture through the day. Dimethicone makes formulation pleasing to apply, as well as serves as emollient. Vitamin E, green tea extract, mushroom extract, aloe vera juice will serve as antioxidants and anti-irritants, which is always a plus, when your skin is exposed to the sun. It is not state of the art formulation, but basic and trusty. Covers all your skin's needs.

Verdict:

Love this product. Will definitely repurchase it. Good ingredient list. No fragrance and no irritants. Pleasing texture. Convenient spray pump. Absorbs quickly. Perfect daily sunscreen. Recommend it to anyone. 5 out of 5.

P.S.: Not tested on animals.
