Body Care: Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30

This is probably one of the most popular sunscreens on the market. It has very distinctive scent, that a lot of people associate with beach or summer vacation. So hopefully this review will be useful for you.

Packaging/Pricing:

8-12$ for 177ml (6fl.oz). Not an ideal packaging, since it features clear plastic. Keep away from the sun.
[Orignialy the product had beautiful stripy pattern inside, but due to heavy use these layers got mixed together.]

Ingredients:

Active: Avobenzone 2%, Octocrylene 5%, Oxybenzone 3%.
Other: Water, Ethylhexyl Benzoate, Glycerin, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Cetearyl Alcohol, Disopropyl Adipate, Isopropyl Myristate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Phenethyl Benzoate, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Polyethylene, Sodium Polyacrylate, Caprylyl Glycol, Dimethicone, Coco Glucoside, Ceteth 10 Phosphate, Dicetyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Paraffin, Silk Amino Acids, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Panthenol, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Leaf Juice, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Colocasia Antiquorum Root Extract, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Fruit Extract, Passiflora Incarnata Fruit Extract, Plumeria Acutifolia (Plumeria) Flower Extract, Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Fragrance.

Excellent (only beneficial ingredients, proven research)
Good (mostly beneficial, not extensive research or just not quite outstanding properties)
OK (mostly thickeners, emulsifiers, mild preservatives, pH adjusters, all that is necessary, but not a skincare per se)
Bad (irritants and anything bad that shouldn't be in a skincare, usually fragrance)

Review & Comparison: Kiss My Face Face Factor SPF 30 vs Sensitive Side 3in1 SPF 30

Let me introduce one of the best sunscreen bargains I've found on the market. They are Kiss My Face sunscreen lotions with SPF 30. These products have outstanding ingredients, formulated without irritants and also fragrance free. Both retails for ~11-13$ at most healthy food stores and on IHERB.com. I use one for my face (Face Factor SPF 30) and the other one for my neck and chest (Sensitive Side SPF 30). There are two minor differences. First, Sensitive Side sunscreen comes with more product for the same price (118ml/4fl.oz vs 59ml/2fl.oz), so I prefer to use it on the larger areas. Second, it also features antioxidants a bit lower on the ingredient list than Face Factor lotion (so better one goes on the face). Other than that, they are both amazing products.
A little bit about the company. It has "natural/organic" marketing approach, though they do use scientific research to formulate their products. So to speak, the best of both worlds. I wouldn't say all of their products are that well formulated, but they do have some outstanding products. They do not test on animals or have animal related ingredients. So for those of you who are concerned, they are cruelty free company.

Alba Botanica Natural Very Emollient Sunscreen SPF 30 (mineral protection kids)

Packaging/Pricing:

118g (4oz). Opaque plastic tube keeps product safe and sound. Retails for ~10-12$ US at whole food stores or on IHERB website (here). As you can tell by now, I do purchase quite a lot of skin care items on IHERB.com. They do have really big selection, prices are good and US shipping is super fast.

Body Care: Kiss My Face Sun Spray Lotion SPF 30

This time around I would like to talk about body care, specifically very important part of it, sun protection. I have to admit, I am not as diligent with body sun protection as with face sunscreen. But since I've noticed couple of hyper pigmentation spots on my hands I am trying my best to apply it every single day. You really have to get into the habit of applying it before leaving the house. Once you find the one you actually really like using, it stops being a chore. Finally I found the one I enjoy very much: Kiss My Face Sun Spray Lotion SPF 30 broad spectrum, water resistant sunscreen!
