MEDYSKIN Line Eraser Eye Serum

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Tamarindus Indica, Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Tripeptide -10 Citrulline, Tripepetide -1, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Lecithin, Xantham Gum, Carbomer, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Hexylene Glycol.

Excellent (only beneficial ingredients, proven research)
Good (mostly beneficial, not extensive research or just not quite outstanding properties)
OK (mostly thickeners, emulsifiers, mild preservatives, pH adjusters, all that is necessary, but not a skincare per se)
Bad (irritants and anything bad that shouldn't be in a skincare, usually fragrance)

Ingredients Discussion:

This serum excites me a little bit less than the Vitamin C one from MEDYSKIN I've reviewed before. The composition is very promising. I do believe that these ingredients are beneficial, but unfortunately, many of the them do not have solid research behind them. Protein is amazing for the skin's health, but hydrolyzed protein (which you get in this product) serves mostly as water-binding agent and do not have other excellent functions. Peptides are great ingredients, but again, tripeptides seems not to work so well (may be in the future there will be new research). Peptides are rumored to be able to fill and plump lines (which this serum promises), but they can not do that unfortunately. Peptides have some wound healing, barrier-repairing functions, which can help your skin retain moisture better, hence look plumper. Tamarindus Indica extract may have some cell-communicating properties. Pseudoalteromonas ferment extract strictly speaking is a protein derived from bacteria, which can be beneficial for the skin (though not enough research again). Not to come across as negative, but major part of active ingredients are yet to be proven to be working. If there would be research in the future, than this product would be really amazing. This serum doesn't have any antioxidants/vitamins, so the formulation seems to be a bit lopsided. You will have to pair it with another antioxidant rich product. This is an irritant free formula. In generally, I do rate this formulation positively.

Packaging/Pricing/Use:

The serum comes in brown glass pump bottle, which is excellent to keep product safe from sun and air exposure. Price really varies. The official website charges 48$ US for 30 ml (1fl.oz). You can find it at amazon.com for ~20$. I was lucky to find it at my local TJMaxx for ~8$. I am not sure this product is worth 50 dollar price tag, but if you can get it for 10-15$, I would highly encourage you to try it out. I use it anywhere on the face, not only around my eye area. I do not think it will erase lines, but as "youth promoting" serum under a moisturizer or a sunscreen, it can be an excellent addition to anyone's skin care routine. It has very light watery gel texture, which is not sticky and absorbs into the skin pretty quick. It is not very  moisturizing though. The serum has no particular scent, since it has no added fragrance (a huge plus).

Verdict:

Not a must have, there are better options on the market, but worth considering. No irritants. Light texture. Perfect for people with slightly dry to combination  and sensitive skin types.
4 out of 5.

P.S.: No animal testing.
