Excellent (very beneficial ingredients, proven research)
Good (moderately beneficial ingredients, not extensive research available or just not quite outstanding properties)
OK (mostly thickeners, emulsifiers, mild preservatives, pH adjusters, all that is necessary formulation wise, but not a skincare per se)
Bad (anything that shouldn't be in a skincare product, irritants and fragrance)

Ingredients Discussion:

A very disappointing offering from Shiseido this one. It claims so much, yet it is able to actually do so little. My biggest problem with this product is that first half of the ingredient list (which should contain large concentrations of active components) is pretty much bare of antioxidants and cell-communicating ingredients. I have to mention that a less complicated way to read ingredient list is just to check ingredients above two types of components - fragrance and preservative (these days many companies use phenoxyethanol as a preservative). Most of the time it is somewhere between top one third to two thirds of ingredient list. Those ingredients in the fist half of the list are present in the sufficient amount to work on your skin. Everything below fragrance and preservative usually is there more for marketing purposes (so the company can claim for example that they used "15 botanical extracts to reduce wrinkles" and such).
Quick glance can tell you, that this eye/lip cream severely lacks active ingredients in the first part of the list. Glycerin, silicone and mineral oil are good but very inexpensive ingredients that can easily be found in more affordable drugstore alternatives (it's a shame to spend 130$ on that!). In essence it has more fragrance than anti-aging ingredients. I can't see how this product can do what it claims.

Consumer Thoughts:

It is a very rich thick cream with moderate fragrance. Will suite dry skin types. It came really handy when I experienced a bout of very dry skin this winter, however I could have easily employed cheaper alternatives.

Verdict:

Not recommended. A complete reap off: 130$ for only 15ml of product with very disappointing composition in a jar packaging that will anyway degrade good ingredients in a week time.

1 out of 5.
