Ingredients:
Water, Polyacrylamide & C13-C14 Isoparaffin & Laureth 7, Glycerin, Benzyl Alcohol & Salicylic Acid & Sorbic Acid, Rosa Carina Fruit (Rosehip) Oil, Hydrolized (Marine) Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vit E), Fragrance.

This is a simple moisturizing serum with plenty water-binding and skin-identical ingredients: glycerin, hyaluronic acid, collagen, polysaccharides, aloe vera juice, rosehip and argan oils. There is a tiny amount of vitamin E present for antioxidant boost. Unfortunately to earn its place in the top-ranking skincare stars it should ideally has more antioxidants and be fragrance free, which it is not. At least fragrance is the last ingredient on the list. All in all, this product will do just what it promises - replenish moisture.
Consumer Thoughts:
This serum has pleasant gel consistency and doesn't sit heavy on the skin. However the scent, even being rather light, was not my cup of tea. I didn't dislike this product, but it didn't blow my mind either.
Verdict:
Not a bad product. If you are in your early 20s and don't require extra anti-aging actions, this will be perfect to keep skin moisturized and plump. Price point is suitable for low budgets as well. But otherwise I wish it had more antioxidants present.

Just curious, what do you think of face mists? Are they beneficial and if so are there any you reccomend?
ReplyDeleteWell, if they are are essentially toners, but with spritz dispenser, then all is good. It comes down to your preference whether you like to apply your toner with a cotton pad or just spray it on your face directly. But if they are just mineral water, then in my opinion they are not really worth the money (i would rather drink my mineral water). However there is a trap here: a lot of sprays usually have to have nice fragrance to "enhance customer experience", and it seems a lot of people like to use sprays because they smell good, not actually because they necessarily do good for their skin. But I find that many sprays are usually way to fragranced to be healthy for the skin. So I personally don't gravitate towards face mists. But in generally if it's a well formulated one, then why not...
DeleteSince I am not myself on the market for those I can recommend only hypothetically those with good ingredient lists, but I wouldn't really know if they feel good =)) I know that Andalou Naturals has two decent ones, and also Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray seems like a good one as well.
Hello, I recently stumbled upon your skincare blog as I have really problematic skin and was looking to fix and up my skincare game. It seems like you know your stuff pretty well, I mean you do have a degree in chemistry. Have you heard of Paula's Choice? They make incredible products fro affordable prices (I'm a budget buyer) though some of their stuff just seems too expensive for me. It would be awesome to see you review their products once in a while, and it'll be helpful for a lot of people (including myself) when purchasing their items. I really like the fact that you review affordable items, yet surprisingly effective, items in your blog, since some bloggers review stupidly pricey ones a lot of times without really paying any attention to the ingredients. I'm currently looking for a moisturizer that's really good and affordable at the same time? Do you have any suggestions? And what is your HG moisturizer that you use consistently? And have you posted your skincare routines before (I haven't explored your blog extensively yet).
ReplyDeleteHello! Yes, I do know about Paula's Choice. But not only that... In fact half of my skincare consists of PC products. In my opinion, they are the best skincare company on the market. The reason I don't talk about them, is that the products are excellent, so I wouldn't need to scrutinize them figure out if there are any bad traits =) So may be in the future I will do a post about my most repurchased Paula's Choice products....
DeleteActually I don't have a favourite moisturizer at the moment. I do have normal to dry skin, but I like layering several thin texured products instead of using one very emollient.
