Andalou Naturals Body Moisturizers: Aloe Mint Body Lotion and Passion Fruit Body Butter
Excellent (very beneficial ingredients, proven research)
Good (moderately beneficial ingredients, not extensive research available or just not quite outstanding properties)
OK (mostly
thickeners, emulsifiers, mild preservatives, pH adjusters, all that is
necessary formulation wise, but not a skincare per se)
Bad (anything that shouldn't be in skincare, irritants and fragrance)
Aloe Mint Body Lotion
Texture/Scent:
This lotion is moisturizing enough without feeling greasy. It absorbs without leaving unpleasant residue. The scent reminds me of mint chocolate (however I didn't like it that much on my skin).
Ingredients:
Aloe Barbadensis Juice, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil, Glycerin, Capric/Caprylic Triglycerides, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cyamopsis Tetragonolobus (Guar) Gum, Phytocelltec
(Malus Domestsica, Solar Vitis) and Bioactive 8 Berry Complex, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) butter, Mentha Piperita
(Peppermint) and Vanilla Planifolia Extracts, Sodium Alginate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Oil, Panthenol (Vit B5), Hibiscus Sabdariffa Extract, Allantoin, Tocopherol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenethyl Alcohol, Mentha Piperita
(Peppermint) Oil.
Discussion:
There are two problematic ingredients here (peppermint oil and peppermint extract), but other than that this lotion has great formulation full of plant oils/butters and even some anti-irritants/antioxidants.
Verdict:
Overall recommended (except for sensitive skin), especially if you are a fan of vanilla mint chocolate scent. It's a really good product for ~10$
Passion Fruit Body Butter
Texture/Scent:
This body moisturizer is much thicker than the one above. It works really well on dry skin without leaving film or feeling greasy. The scent is noticeable but not too strong and doesn't linger on the skin for more than 15 minutes. It reminds me of sweet fruity tea (very much to my liking).

(Mango) Butters, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Oil, Calophyllum Tacamahaca (Tamanu) Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Oil, Pichia/Resveratrol Ferment Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, Panthenol
(Vit B5), Allantoin, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) and Hibiscus Rosa-Sinensis Extracts, Stearic acid, Agathosma Capensis (Buchu) Oil, Cananga Odorata (Ylang Ylang) Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenethyl Alcohol, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) and Citrus Aurantium Dulcis
(Orange) Oils.
Discussion:
Great formulation with numerous plant oils/butters and some antioxidants. There are several essential oils, but they are on the bottom of the ingredient list, and in my opinion in body product do not pose as much risk of irritation.
Verdict:
Recommended. In fact it's one of my top favourite body moisturizer that I keep repurchasing regularly.
